Tour Description

Tapas Paradise in a vibrant city

Clearly, Madrid would not be half as interesting a destination without its tapas. In fact it is a true tapas heaven, because it lies right in the middle of the country, and all tapas roads lead to Madrid. Did you know that Europe’s biggest seafood market is in Madrid? Yes, Madrid is landlocked by hundreds of miles, but it still hosts the continents most important fish market. Furthermore Madrid is surrounded by various fantastic wine countries. A great variety of delicious treats are produced in the region, like Manchego sheep cheese, Iberian ham or olive oil. All Spanish regions are represented with their local specialties in hundreds of tapas restaurants across the city. Our Tasting Madrid Food and Wine Tours are designed as informative walking tours, taking our guests through vibrant streets and to hidden gems. Our fantastic guides will not only present the world of tapas, but also give our guests an interesting historic walking tour as we’ll cross the districts of the old quarter on our way to the next venue.

A wide spectrum of scrumptious sensations

Tasting Madrid is an out of the ordinary city walking tour and food & wine tour combined, passing through the most exciting and lively neighborhoods of Madrid. On both, our lunch and dinner tours we will take you to singular tapas locations, carefully selected to complement the experience and to give our guests an understanding of the variety of locations and styles. We will taste classical dishes, but also cutting edge modern creations. The aim of our Tasting Madrid tours is to create a tasting experience of a variety of amazing Spanish tapas and delicious wines and other beverages, and to provide an action packed, well-rounded city tour at the same time, stopping at four to five venues. In Madrid it is quite typical to eat standing up. Please note that we will not sit in every venue. These experiences are easily adapted by our guides to accommodate and more than satisfy all guests regardless of their dietary concerns. Going out and eating tapas in a variety of locations has its own word in Spanish: tapear. Let’s go and do as the locals on this guaranteed great day or night out in Madrid!
